The videos focus on moments arising in limitation, based on the programming script . It may be a new freedom of expression which arises outside otherwise lived realities. Moments vanish and reappear , continuously on several levels; preserved in a projection , distorted and interpreted by cinematic means. The virtual camera is doubled by the movie camera, the material interpreted by specific views . The view into the exhibition space , about wandering between different sides of a story , frozen for the documentation of loss and rediscovery.
The game is a suitable tool for research. Systemically and yet open-ended , it creates a space of possibilities in collage-like-arranged situations. The images are modelled on a reality , perhaps to deceive , but nevertheless force themselves upon the viewer in their artificiality . Provoking the desire to be someone else , without having to lose oneself. The actors playing the avatars become their own audience inside on a virtual stage , designing a perceived dramaturgy . An identity fluctuating between a bodily presence and a projected imaginary image.
